The General Manager, Corporate Affairs of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN, Henrietta Yakubu said the agency has not released Post-COVID-19 travel guidelines for air travellers as it is still working on the said document.
This is in reaction to a statement shared on social media by one Tayo Ola, FAAN via a Tweet on May 16, 2020, to the effect that the Federal Government of Nigeria, through FAAN has released a post-covid-19 travel guideline for air travelers”.
“The attention of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has been drawn to a press release by a certain Tayo Ola today, May 16, 2020, to the effect that the Federal Government of Nigeria, through FAAN has released a post-covid-19 travel guideline for air travelers”.
“We want to state emphatically that although FAAN is carefully and seriously working on a guideline, the release did not emanate from us as it is still a work in progress. Consequently, the Authority will like to enjoin air travellers and the general public to disregard the content of the said medium.”
Yakubu pointed out that FAAN, at the appropriate time, would release the post-COVID-19 guidelines through its official communication medium.
