This is the bizarre story of how a lady simply known as Peculiar poisoned her ex-boyfriend and his four friends for breaking up with her.
The tragic incident which happened October 26, 2024 took place at Afashio-Uzairue, Auchi area of Edo State.
The five men died after eating fish pepper soup prepared by the lady
Peculiar confessed after her arrest that she deliberately poisoned the soup in order to take her revenge on her boyfriend who she said once ditched her.
Unknown to her, she didn’t know that the young man whose name could not be obtained as at the time of filling this report, decided to share the pepper soup with four of his friends. They all died from the food poisoning.
The Edo State Police Command is currently investigating the circumstances that led to the death of the five men.
Meanwhile, the lady has been taken into custody and the body of the deceased have been deposited in the morgue.
