Save for the prompt intervention of the staff of the hotel, a lady known as Olivia Ijeoma would have been killed for ritual purposes by a ‘Yahoo plus boy’ known as Joseph Efe.

The lady who was stripped naked by the suspected ritualist had been tied up and was about to be strangled by the man.

According to sources privy to the incident, the lady screamed and this attracted the staff of the hotel who came to her rescue.

The incident was said to have happened in one of the popular hotels located in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

In the video made available to NATIONAL WAVES, the lady’s hands, legs and neck were tied with a sellotape while the hotel staff could be heard saying it was the lady’s consistent screams that saved her.

The hotel staff scolded the lady for visiting the said man in his room. They also scolded the man for trying to use the lady for “rituals”.

They ordered the man to untie the lady while the lady used her dress to cover her naked body.

Operatives of the NSCDC later arrested, Alex, who’s said to be based in Abuja, marking the end of his sinister plans.

While confirming the incident via a statement on Thursday, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Josephine Adeh, accused NSCDC of not handing over the suspect to the police for further investigation.

Adeh said: “The FCT police command is aware of the video footage making the rounds about a lady who was criminally confined in Top view hotel, Wuse, Abuja on 17th September, 2024 by an alleged Internet fraudster allegedly for money ritual.

“Findings revealed that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have taken the suspect into custody and are yet to hand over to the police for diligent investigation.

“The FCT police command for all intent and purposes awaits the NSCDC to hand over all parties for commencement of diligent and discreet investigation.

“Further development will be communicated in due course”.
