Amarachi Ugochukwu, a 32-year-old marketing staff member of Globus Bank in Ikorodu, Lagos, who was discovered lifeless in the staff toilet on January 8, around 1 pm complained of hard life and bad economy.
The female banker who allegedly drank a bottle of sniper left a suicide note behind complaining of hard life.
She wrote in the note left behind before committing suicide “NOTHING IS WORKING IN MY LIFE,” “MY FIGURES ARE LOW,” “MY BRAIN IS CLOGGED UP,” “THE ECONOMY IS GETTING HARDER,” “MY DECISIONS ARE WRONG,” and “MY MIND IS MESSED UP.”
The incident reportedly happened on Monday within the premises of the bank when Amarachi locked herself in the restroom and ingested the insecticide, unknown to her work colleagues.
Her body was found when other staff members searched for her when the phone she left on her table kept ringing and she was not around to take the calls.
The matter has been referred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
