The new Chief executive officer of Nigerian Communications Commission, Aminu Maida, an Executive Director of Technology & Operations at Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS), is a seasoned technical professional with a remarkable track record spanning more than 15 years. His expertise extends across multiple functions and includes international experience in the fields of FinTech, Telecoms, and Enterprise Technology.
Before taking on his role at NIBSS, Aminu held the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Arca Payments Network, a FinTech company based in Nigeria. He also served as a Senior Manager at Cisco Systems UK, contributing his valuable insights to the tech industry.
Aminu’s academic background is equally impressive, holding a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College London, and he earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom. These qualifications reflect his dedication to continuous learning and innovation.
