Ukraine’s Usyk Defeats British Born Tyson Fury in Split Decision

Usyk being declared winner after 12 rounds bout with Tyson Fury

Ukraine born boxer,Oleksandr Usyk has defeated British born Tyson Fury by split decision to unify the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF world titles.

Usyk became the heavyweight champion of the world at a fight staged at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

At the end of the 12 rounds, the judges’ decision was: 115-112 to Usyk, 114-113 to Fury and 114-113 to Usyk.
Usyk has become the first man to be called the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

Fury has called for a rematch as stipulated in the fight terms.
