The Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has paid a surprise visit to Mrs. Zemilatu Tafida who was evicted from her home with her children.
The minister visited the traumatized lady who was trending in a viral video with her children on social media.
The minister listened to her complaints to understand exactly what had transpired.
Kennedy-Ohanenye proceeded to the court responsible for evicting Mrs. Tafida and her children to obtain a clearer explanation for their eviction.
Zemilasi was married to Mr. Mohammed Tafida, son of former Nigeria Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Senator Tafida. She narrated how she was evicted from her home making her and her three children homeless. Zemilasi stated that she was a victim of domestic violence and called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the matter.

“The Federal Ministry of Women’s Affairs is working closely to ensure the family’s peace, security, and normalcy” said Mrs Kennedy-Ohanenye.
