Commandant, Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has proved his mettle over the years as a diligent and efficient security officer with an eye for security details and a nose for fishing out outlawry and anti social elements of the society.
This much is reflected in many commendations he has garnered and the various testy sensitive positions he has handled with much adroitness and gravitas with amazing outcome.
An innovative man who is very much adept in experimenting new formula of law enforcement, a strategem that has succeeded in downgrading the rate of crimes in Osun, this he has been able to achieve in sync with other sister law enforcement agencies.
It was on account of this unprecedented traits that National Waves Newspaper and Magazine bestowed on him, the Commandant of the Year 2023 award.
According to Jimmy Enyeh, publisher of the soar away National Waves, Agboola, is an officer obsessed with prosecution of offenders and lawbreakers. He’s outstanding on account of his deep knowledge of litigation and case management.
He said “Agboola has garnered and benefitted from a host of training sessions over time from local and international institutions such as:
• Management Course 1, Prisons Training College, Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos in 2005
• Performance enhancement for officers of NSCDC, at Salient Royal Stefem Nigeria Ltd in conjuction with Concept College, London, 2005.
• Effective monitoring and supervision of private guard companies at Chrisvis Konsult Ltd. Abuja in 2006.
• Security capacity building for senior officers at Center for International and Strategic Studies {CISS} Abuja in 2006.
• The role and importance of NSCDC in day to day operations of PGC in Nigeria for officers and men of NSCDC at Salient Royal Stefem Nig. Ltd in conjuction with Concept College, London, 2007.
• Revitalizing professionalism in security practice and service delivery for enhancement of quality of life; challenges in the 21st century at the Institute of Security of Nigeria, Lagos, 2007.
• Internal security/low intensity conflicts course at Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna State, Nigeria in 2008.
• In 2010, he was at M.E Roy Security in training academy, Israel for special weapons and tactics experience.
• Also in 2011, he attended Prison Training School
Kaduna, for small arms training.
• Counter terrorism awareness facilitators course At British High Commission, Abuja, 2019.

Having rooted in deep knowledge and excellent background in Inteligence, professionalism in security practice, Commandant Agboola served as the;
• Head of Department, Operations Department, Gombe State Command in 2004
• 21/c PGC department, national headquarters in 2005.
•HOU PGC, monitoring and supervision, national headquarters in 2006
•HOU PGC, licensing, national headquartes, 2011.
• He became the head of department, private guard company, FCT Command in 2016
He was born on the 28th October, 1966. He hails from imala, in Abeokuta North Local Government Area, Ogun State.
He attended University of Lagos, Akoka where he obtained his first degree in Economics. Thereafter, he proceeded for Advanced Diploma in Security Operations at the University of Lagos, he also has masters degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
After a successful assignment in private guard
company, he was redeployed as-
Head of Department, Training and Manpower Development, FCT in 2020.
Commandant agboola took up another assignment as the head of department, private guard company in Oyo state command as the deputy commandant of corps, he was then promoted to the rank of commandant of corps and redeployed to osun state as commandant due to his impeccable track records and experience
Commandant Agboola is happily married with wonderful children.
Ever since he was posted to Osun as State Commandant, he has achieved an impressive milestones among which are: relocation of State Command Headquarters to its permanent site along Osogbo- Iwo Rd, Onibu-Eja, and provision of emergency ambulance service by NSCDC. This rescue operation has saved many lives in the State. The ambulance service is manned by NSCDC paramedics.
As the Commandant who along with sister agencies’ heads supervised with incident the gubernatorial election in 2022 in Osun State. He stood his ground to ensure a credible, fair and free election. He also supervised the 2023 general elections in Osun State.
He was known for his aggressive anti- vandalism drive in the state to curb the activities of vandals especially these involved in adulterated AGO [Automated Gas Oil]
In the process, several arrests have been made of illegal miners in the State as an important step towards curbing the leakage of government revenues as well as prevent environmental degradation.
He has also enhanced grass root policing and make security of lives and property an important aspect of his core obsession.
Under his watch,he has been deploying personnel in all formations to patrol and mount surveillance on Churches and Mosques on Sundays and Fridays. This is an arrangement to ensure that adherents worship their God without any intimidation and harassment from any quarter.
For prompt attention,rescue operations and emergencies, the Command unveiled emergency numbers that citizens can call for necessary action. This approach has helped to save lives and property.
- According to him the incessant involvement of youth and under age in cultism and other nefarious activities in schools and in our society necessitated the establishment of the anti-cultism Unit in Osun Command by Commandant Agboola Sunday Adisa. Similarly,the anti-kidnapping squad is also established to combat the issue of kidnapping in Osun State
