Senator Osita Izunaso celebrated his birthday last Wednesday with pomp and pageantry. Expectedly, he celebrated the day with persons with disability. Isunazo, the National Organising Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) and founder of Kpakpando Foundation for Persons with Disability did not spare any cost to ensure that the event was grand,
Highlights of the event which took place at the Ahiajoku Centre, Owerri, Imo State was the presentation of scholarship to 21 disabled students and the presentation of wheelchairs, sewing machines, grinding machines to persons with disability.
Chairman of the occasion was the former governor of Enugu State and chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Chief Okwesilieze Nwodo, Special guest of honour at the event was the Executive Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomole who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon Patrick Igodomigodo, the Chief host was Owelle Rochas Okorocha who was ably represented by the Imo State Secretary to the Government, Professor Tony Anwuka.
Nollywood actors and actress were also there to add glamour to the event. Patience Ozokwu popularly known as Mama G ensured guests had a dose of her talents as she sang one of her popular songs and exhibited her dexterity in the make believe business. So also was popular actor, Nkem Owoh who is widely known as Osofia, he entertained guests by singing his popular ‘I want to chop your dollars’ track, another popular Nollywood actor, Uche Odoputa and former Miss Nigeria, Miss Rosemary Okeke were also at the event.
The climax of the event was the cutting of Senator Osita Isunazo birthday cake which was done with all the personalities present.
The celebrant has consistently celebrated his birthday in the last eight years with persons with disability.
