Hon. Okafor Gabriel and the money allegedly seized from him

A chieftain of the Labour Party, Hon. Okafor Gabriel has been arrested by the
joint security operatives in Anara, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
As at time of his arrest, he was allegedly in possession of election materials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and money stocked inside ‘Ghana Must Go Bag’
The commander of the joint force Inspector Ahmed Idris, said that the arrest was made following some intelligence tip-off. He stated that the arrest would serve as a stern warning that the security operatives meant business and would not hesitate to bring any culprit to book.
The suspect, Mr. Hon. Okafor Gabriel, was caught with possession of the INEC Permanent Voter Cards, ballot papers as well as total sum of 183 million Naira.
He was arrested around Anara in isiala mbano Local Government of Imo State.
The suspect admitted that the materials were given to him on Friday night by a party member.
The State Police boss said investigations were ongoing.
