Dare devil armed robbers invaded and attacked the Access and Union Banks branches in Anyingba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
A dependable source who witnessed the attacks on the two commercial banks informed NATIONAL WAVES that there were sporadic shootings during the operation.
The robbery operation was said to have started around 5 pm. when they stormed the two banks and started shooting to ease their escape after stealing an unspecified sum of money.
While a security guard attached to one of the banks was reportedly gunned down by the robbers, another attached to one of the banks was seen hiding in a video seen by NATIONAL WAVES.
Other security operatives however swiftly swung into action, seriously battling the armed robbers in exchange of gunshots.
As at the time of filling this report, the police public relations officer of the Kogi State Police Command was yet to issue a statement regarding the robbery incident.
