Rivers Gov. Fubara, Wike’s Rift Deepens As Assembly Set On Fire Over Plans To Impeach Fubara

The rancour between Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike is taking a frightening dimension as the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex was set in fire on alleged plot to Impeach the governor.

The fire was reported at about 10 p.m. on Sunday.

As of the time of filling in this report, the complex had been taken over by security agents from the nearby Command of the Rivers Police while a fire truck was also seen on the grounds of the facility.

The fire is coming amidst rumors of an impending impeachment procedure against the state Governor Sim Fubara.

Sources informed NATIONAL WAVES that the development is connected with the political rift between Governor Fubara and his predecessor Nyesom Wike who is now Federal Capotal Territory minister
