The tractor that mistakenly hit foundation of Lagos Mosque

The Ozoro, Papa Ajao, Lagos mosque that collapsed Sunday afternoon and left some worshippers who were praying dead and injured was as a result of an excavator that mistakenly hit the foundation of the mosque while working on the drainage of the street where the mosque is situated.
This much was revealed by a survivor who narrated how the incident happened in vernacular (Yoruba language) in a video made available to NATIONAL WAVES
Some injured and dead bodies have been moved from the rubbles with many more feared trapped.
The tragic incident has set many in a mourning mode as rescue operations continue to find more people believed to have been trapped
The exact number of casualties remains unknown, but many are feared dead according to eye witnesses.
The collapse occurred at a time when appreciable number of worshipers were observing their prayers leading to a chaotic and desperate rescue effort.
According to reports, several injured individuals and deceased bodies have already been pulled from the rubble.
However, many more are believed to be trapped beneath the debris while people continue searching for loved ones.
