SAN FRANCISCO, May 04, (THEWILL) – Real Madrid FC of Spain has booked the second slot in the UEFA Champions League Final after beating England’s last representative, Manchester City, 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
From a goalless draw at the first leg of the encounter at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, a first-half Fernando own goal was all Real Madrid needed to beat City in the semi-final second leg on Wednesday and qualify for the final.
In the final, Madrid will face city rivals Atletico, who won their semi-final on away goals against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
The teams will meet in Milan on May 28 in a repeat of the 2014 final, which Real won 4-1 after extra time.
