Prominient Northerner and President-General of the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN), Dr Datti Ibrahim Ahmed, is dead.
This was announced on Thursday via SCSN’s official Facebook page, with prayers to God that the late elder statesman gets eternal rest.
Th post reads, “Innalillahi wa inna ilayhi Rajihun the death of Dr Ibrahim Datti Ahmed was just announced until is death he was the President Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria (SCSN). may Allah forgive is shortcomings and make Aljannah Firdaus his final abode. Allahumagfirlahu Allahumathabithu.”
According to reports gathered, the late politician and Islamic cleric died on Wednesday night in Kano State, after battling with an undisclosed ailment.
