Popular socialite and businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Obi Cubana was released on Thursday evening after undergoing intense interrogation by operatives of the commission for 72 hours.
The Anambra born club owner was on Monday arrested by the EFCC over allegations of money laundering and tax evasion.
EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujari confirmed that Obi Cubana was released from custody.
“It is true”, Uwujaren said while declining further comment on the matter.
Cubana, who spent three night with the anti-graft agency, was released after he perfected his bail conditions.
.The EFCC reportedly confiscated the passport of the businessman, to prevent him from leaving the country while under investigation.
