A former governorship aspirant of the Labour Party in Anambra State, Valentine Ozigbo, has moved to All Progressives Congress.

Ozigbo joined the APC on Thursday at his ward in Amesi area of the state, less than 48 24 hours after leaving the LP.
Reports have it that Ozigbo is warming up to contest the Anambra governorship election.

In a statement he personally signed, Ozigbo said his decision to quit the party is in line with his “unwavering commitment for the greater good of the people.
He noted that the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was duly briefed of his decision as a mark of his deep respect for his leadership and the principles they have shared on this journey.

The politician asserted that he joined politics not for personal ambition but because he believe in the boundless potential of the people.

Ozigbo also contested the state governorship election in 2021 under the Peoples Democratic Party and lost to Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

The governorship election in Anambra has been scheduled for November by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
