The Peoples Democratic Party PDP has consolidated its grip in Delta State as its governorship candidate, Sheriff Oborevwori was declared winner of the Delta State governorship election held last Saturday by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
Oborevwori defeated the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Ovie Omo-Agege.
Oborevwori secured 360,234 to defeat Omo-Agege who polled a total of 240,229 votes.
The deputy president of the Senate and the senator representing the Delta State Central Senatorial District, Omo-Agege won in only four local governments out of 25 local government areas in the state.
