Acting President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has relieved the Director-General of the Department of the State Services, Lawal Daura of his job.
Mr Daura was sacked shortly having a brief meeting with the Acting President.
Reports have it that the DSS boss may have been sacked as a result of DSS’s blocking of the entrance of the National Assembly this morning and this culminated to some senators and members of the House of Representatives forcing their way into the premises of the National Assembly despite the DSS siege.
The lawmakers were led by Boma Goodhead, younger sister of ex-militant, Asari Dokubo and a PDP House of Representatives member from Rivers State.
Despite attempts by the DSS men blocking the entrance, the female lawmaker forced her way in and was followed by Reps Agbedi Frederick from Bayelsa State and Joseph Akinlaja from Ondo State among others.
Senators Ubale Shittu, Isa Hamma Misau and Ben Murray Bruce as well as Rep Razak Atunwa also later gained entrance
