Going by any last minute hiccup or change of plans, the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olakunle Oluomo may spend the first night in the cell of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). NATIONAL WAVES gathered that the operatives of the EFCC are unhappy that the Speaker turned down several invites sent to him by the anti graft agency over an alleged corruption matter. He was reportedly moved to Abuja after being arrested at the Muritala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos
It would be recalled that the operatives of the EFCC earlier today arrested the Speaker around 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos.
A source at the Ogun Assembly told NATIONAL WAVES that the operatives picked up Mr Oluomo to answer questions bordering on alleged financial misappropriationEfforts to make EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren react did not yield fruits as his phone was not reachable.
News had made the rounds that the speaker is enmeshed in a financial scandal  which is currently been investigated by the anti graft agency.
After several invitations from the anti graft agency, the assembly filed charges against the anti-graft agency and the former Deputy Speaker, Oludare Kadiri.
The Assembly accused both Mr Kadiri and the agency of connivance to witch-hunt the legislators.
