Late Major General Chris Jemitola

This is the sad end of Major General Chris Jemitola (retd), a former Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo who reportedly died after slumping at IBB Golf Club Abuja, in the early hours of today.
Jemitola was said to have been accompanied to the IBB Golf Club by Austin, the younger brother of the late Chairman Pinnacle Communications Limited, Sir Lucky Omoluwa when the sad incident occured.
Jemitola was rushed to the hospital by friends but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The deceased served as Obasanjo’s ADC from 2003 to 2007 while he was a colonel.
He was later appointed as the Director of Defence Information and subsequently served as the Defence Attaché at the Nigerian Embassy in Brazil.
In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Major General.
Before his retirement, Jemitola served as the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) of the Nigerian Army.
He also had a stint in the private sector.
He was the Senior Advisor for Military Communications at Pinnacle Communications Limited as of 2019.
Jemitola’s family had yet to release an official statement regarding his passing as of press time.
