These are indeed trying moments for Naira Marley as MTV Base, an international music channel, has banned everything pertaining to Marlian on his channel.
Marlian Music is a record label owned by embattled singer, Naira Marley who’s alleged to ‘having a hand’ in Mohbad’s demise.
Following the uproar for the controversial death of Imole, a number of radio stations around the country decided to place a “Not to Be Broadcast” (NTTB) ban on all the songs under the Marlian Records Label.
This was prompted as a result of the emergence of several videos of harassment and bullying of Mohbad, who was a former signee of the label; leading many to point accusing fingers at the label’s boss and his well-known associate, Sam Larry over their alleged involvement in the singer’s ‘untimely’ death.
This development was announced by popular TV host, Ehizojie Okoeguale aka DadaBoy Ehiz, a staff of the music channel.
He made the announcement on his X handle on Wednesday, September 20, applauding the 24-hour music and general entertainment channel for the move.
He tweeted: “Mtvbase dropped everything Marlian … kudos to dem.”
Earlier, DadaBoy Ehiz expressed his condolences over the death of Mohbad noting: “Rest In Power IMOLE. All he wanted was make music.”
