Plans by the Buhari administration to checkmate the incessant attack on pipeline by militants in the Niger Delta seems not to be yielding results as Militants in the Niger Delta region have once again blown up another pipeline belonging to the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) in Ikembiri, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
Investigations reveal that the Ogboinbiri-Tebidaba-Brass pipelines along the Azuzuama- Ikienghenbiri creek was blown in a supremacy battle between two rival militants struggling for control of the pipeline.
Sources added that both groups claimed to be protecting the pipeline from the other group and have been shooting sporadically at each other which unsettled the community with residents fleeing the area.
The facility is currently on fire.
