MC Oluomo

The Southwest Zonal Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Olalekan Folorunsho (aka Lekan Salami), has made a clarification that Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, is no longer a member of the Union and is not qualified to hold any position within it.
In a press statement, Folorunsho also addressed the activities of a former Secretary of the Union, Alhaji Moshood Ajao, who has allegedly been misrepresenting himself as a leader of the NURTW in Osun State.
Folorunsho asserted that Ajao, having retired from the Union and received his entitlements, has no legal right to such a position.
“The Constitution of our Union recognizes only former Chairmen as leaders in their respective states. In Osun State, only two individuals hold this privilege: myself and Alhaji Nasiru Komolafe. Ajao’s actions amount to impersonation, and I strongly warn him to desist,” Folorunsho stated.
He further explained that MC Oluomo ceased to be a member of the NURTW in 2022 when he publicly tore his Union identity card and announced his exit following a query from the national leadership.
Since then, there has been no record of his official return to the Union.
“Our Constitution stipulates that a returning member must submit a formal application to the National leadership, which will be considered. If accepted, the member must spend at least two years before being eligible to seek any office, starting from the unit chairman level. None of these steps have been followed by MC Oluomo,” Folorunsho clarified.
