Gist currently making the rounds is that Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN) has secretly married Nana Hadiza, daughter of President Muhammad Buhari. The duo had a private Nikkah devoid of fanfare at the villa, Abuja on Friday, July 8, 2022.
The wedding was attended by close family members of Malami and Buhari and also some top Government officials.
The wedding was held devoid of fanfare due to the current happenings in the country. The Bride is the third daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Nana Hadiza was born on the 23rd of June, 1981. She attwnded First Essence International School, then Cobham Hall, in Kent, United Kingdom. Thereafter she attended the University of Buckingham.
She bagged a postgraduate degree at National Teachers Institute, Kaduna. Hadiza Buhari has a Masters diploma in International Affairs and Strategic Studies, Polytechnic Kaduna.
Nana Hadiza, aged 41, is Buhari’s third daughter with his first wife, Safinatu.
Hadiza was married to Abdulrahman Mamman Kurfi with whom she had six children before their divorce.
Hadiza becomes the third wife of Malami after Aisha and Fatima.
Malami was appointed as AGF and minister of justice after President Buhari won the election in 2015 — he was re-appointed on August 21, 2019.
The minister had, on April 28, declared his intention to contest the Kebbi governorship in the 2023 elections, on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, and thereafter submitted his N50 million nomination form on May 11.
However, Malami announced his decision to withdraw from the poll after the president asked ministers interested in contesting for office to resign their positions in line with section 84 of the Electoral Act 2022.
