MC Oluomo
By Adebayo Obajemu
The Lagos State Coucil of NURTW has dissociated itself from the protests planned to be staged today by the suspended NURTW chairman, Alh. Musiliu Akinsanya, MC Oluomo, in Lagos today.
This was contained in the statement released by Comrade Seyi Bankole, Lagos State NURTW, Council Secretary to our correspondent on Wednesday.
According to Bankole, the peace loving Union members will never be part of MC Oluomo’s protest. He noted the protesters are imposters who are trying to use the good name of the association for selfish purposes.
He restated the commitment of the Union to the authority of the Lagos State Government.
He also claimed that the Lagos Coucil owe allegiance to the National Headquarter of the NURTW , insisting the MC Oluomo has been suapended indefinitely and so he should stop using the name of the association for criminal acts.
The NURTW secretary therefore called on the Lagos Police authorities to arrest any group or persons trying the disturb the peace of the state.
He also urged Lagosians be on alert, noting that MC Oluomo should be held responsible for any breakdown of peace and law that may be perpetuated by his lieutenants in the name of the Union
