The deputy chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Shuaibu Idris Lauje and his daughter have been abducted from his home by unidentified gunmen. His house is located in Kwanan Zango, closed to Maraban Jos in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Family sources revealed that Lauje and his daughter were whisked away by gun wielding men at 1:30 am on Thursday when the gunmen stormed the community shooting sporadically to instill fear among residents.
It was not clear if the gunmen had targeted Lauje’s home as family sources say the abductors are yet to make contact.
The APC Chairman in the State, Emmanuel Jekada, confirmed the attack to newsmen
He said that security agents have been notified of the development.
Efforts to get the the Kaduna State Police command spokesperson, ASP Mohammed Jalige to confirm the story did not yield result as this reporter could not reach him on phone.
