This is good news as the Indian contractor working with Dangote Group in Nigeria has tested negative for the coronavirus.
Lagos State commissioner for health, Prof Akin Abayomi, however, stated this in a Twitter message on Tuesday night.
Abayomi did not state if the Indian works with Dangote, but the company had earlier confirmed that one of its contractors had been quarantined over suspicion that he had the virus.
“An Indian national that was admitted in our facility yesterday night with symptoms suggestive of #COVID19 has tested negative to #COVID19,” Abayomi tweeted.
He added that the unnamed man was doing well in isolation unit and that his case will be reviewed on Wednesday morning
