How Lucky Omoluwa’s Pinnacle Communications Emerged Daily Times Company of the year.

Recently, broadcast engineering firm, Pinnacle Communications Limited, was named the company of the year by one of Nigeria’s leading newspapers, the Daily Times. According to the management of Daily Times, Pinnacle emerged on account of blazing the trail and setting standards for the emergence of world class digital broadcasting in Nigeria.

Unknown to many, the company achieved this enviable feat due to the great entrepreneurial skill of Sir. Lucky Omoluwa, chairman/CEO of Pinnacle Communications Ltd.

Omoluwa’s story contradicts the principles and norms of ego-tripping. He parades himself as a mushroom on which the dew of heaven drops from time to time. He never draws attention to how rich he is neither does he function on the oxygen of his blooming renown, and that is a wonderful trait in a shrewd businessman.

One good attribute that remains sacrosanct for this Delta born businessman is that he cherishes hard work and this has culminated in his success story. He is also humble to a fault. He understands that humility is not a peculiar habit of self-effacement but rather an insipid trait like having an inaudible voice, a selfless respect for reality and one of the most difficult and central of all the virtues. Hence his desire to remain humble, even when with his contemporaries and lesser men.

Not a few people are awestruck by Omoluwa’s humility.

These marvelous traits accompany him to his work. Thus Omoluwa, like the proverbial bee, silently does his work in the hive, knowing that without humility all will be lost. But nothing is lost in the hive of the broadcasting magnate.

Having taken Pinnacle Communications to the pinnacle of success for paved the way for Nigeria to join the league of nations that have migrated from analogue to digital broadcasting. This did not come easy as Pinnacle had to surmount the hiccups and challenges to emerge winners of the 2nd Broadcast Signal Distribution License Network for transition from analogue to digital.

Inspite of the short deadline, it took the company six weeks to secure, clear, built up the site and installed what is generally said to be a state of the art transmission systems at the Pinnacle Mpape site.

Daily Times bestowed the company of the year 2016 award on Pinnacle Communications going by the successful launch of the Pinnacle Broadcast Centre, Mpape by President Muhammudu Buhari who was represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo.

Following the switch on, Abuja residents can now watch close to 30 channels, offering fares in news, entertainment, sports and business for free.

The merits associated with the switch on are numerous. For instance there are possibilities of instant feedback which would assist in deepening the democratic processes, while also enhancing the opening up of Nollywood film and creativity industry to offer access to Nigeria movies.
