The Hookah smoking lady, Princess Islamiyat Abiodun Oyefusi

The social media was abuzz with the photograph of a lady smoking hookah, with the claim she is the running mate of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Lagos state, Princess Islamiyat Abiodun Oyefusi, a former Lagos East Senatorial District candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019.
On Monday, March 13, 2023, Twitter user Ayekooto (@DeeOneAyekooto) suggested that the lady in the image was the deputy governorship candidate of LP.
“See the deputy governorship candidate of a certain political party in Lagos,” the tweet reads.
The post has garnered over one million views, 8,721 likes, 1,130 retweets, and 253 quote tweets as of Monday, March 13, 2023. Many Twitter users also posted the image with similar captions.
The image with the same narrative has also made it to Facebook. It was shared by Tunde Salam, who said “Lobatan,” meaning “it is finished” because the LP deputy governorship candidate was allegedly smoking.
In view of this development, The Lagos State Labour Party deputy governorship candidate, Princess Islamiyat Abiodun Oyefusi, reacted to a trending photo alleging that she was the one in a photograph of a lady smoking shisha.
Her reaction, via Twitter late on Monday, came days after social media user, Kemi Olunloyo, put the photograph out.
Oyefusi, the running mate of Gbadebo Rhode-Vivour accused opposition parties of running propaganda on her and her entire team.
Taking to her Twitter account: @PrincessOyefus1, she stated that the OBIdient Movement does not indulge in propaganda rather they talk about real issues that affect the people.
She stated that she will never indulge in such an act.
She noted that she is a princess and a princess will never act in such a way.
Oyefusi tweeted: “Obidents don’t do propaganda, we talk about real issues that affect the people.
“It will not win you the election.
“This is not me and will never be me.
“So, I will not stoop so low to your gutters or dignify you with a rely.
“Ori Ade ko kin jagun bi eru which means the crown never fights as slaves.”
