Fire is currently razing a section of the Canada embassy building in Abuja.
As at the time of filling this report, the cause of the fire was unclear.
Sources informed NATIONAL WAVES that the fire was as a result of an explosion from the embassy’s power generating plant.
Dark smoke could be seen billowing from the white building.
Staff of the Embassy have been evacuated from the building to safety.
The embassy is located at diplomatic drive in the central business district (CBD) of the federal capital territory (FCT), a walking distance from the federal ministry of defence, popularly known as Ship House, and the embassies of Ghana, UK, and the US.
