Under 20 World Cup

FIFA on Wednesday stripped Indonesia of the hosting of 2023 Under-20 World Cup, over what an Indonesian official regarded as failure to honor it’s commitments to the tournament.
The tournament scheduled to hold May 20 – June 11, 2023, will, according to FIFA, be granted to a new host,
“with the dates of the tournament currently remaining unchanged.
Potential sanctions against PSSI may also be decided at a latter stage.
” It would be recalled that FIFA decision to strip Indonesia of the hosting right was taking after the country’s football federation (PSSI) announced that it cancelled the draw because the governor of the largely Hindu island of Bali refused to host Israel’s team to the tournament.
FIFA added that the decision had been taken following a meeting between its President Gianni Infantino and PSSI Chairman, Erick Thohir.
