The Federal Government is set to honour some prominent Nigerians with National Awards.
Among those to be confered with the 2023 National Awards are Emeka Anyaoku, incoming first lady, Oluremi Tinubu, Co-founder of Tony Elumelu Foundation, Dr Awele Elumelu ; President of Transcorp Group, Dr Owen Omogiafo among others
Highly focused, vivacious and amiable
Dr. Awele is endowed with brain and beauty. She is the co-founder of Tony Elumelu Foundation(TEF) and the Chairperson of Avon Medical Practice Limited.
Dr. Elumelu is also the Chairperson of Avon Healthcare Limited. She oversees the healthcare investments of Heirs Holdings.
Affable and highly resourceful Dr. Awele Elumelu holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Benin. Her experience as a medical doctor includes medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and emergency medicine.
In Nigeria, Dr Elumelu has worked with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital and, in the UK, with Grantham and District Hospital, Grantham.
