Man Utd draw with Liverpool
Manchester United and Liverpool shared a point on Sunday following a 2-2 draw at Anfield, with the latter moving six points clear at the Premier League table.
Lisandro Martinez scored United’s first goal but the celebration was shortlived as Cody Gakpo equalised for Liverpool.
Things seemed to go Liverpool’s way when Egyptian prodigy Mohamed Salah found the back of the net in the 70th minute, thanks to a penalty spot kick.
United, who proved to be far more defiant than expected, levelled up via an 80-minute goal from Amad Diallo.
The game ended 2-2, proving Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s warning before the encounter that United were “much better” than their shocking league position.
