Mohammed Adoke
By Our Reporter
It is no longer news that former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke was arrested by Interpol in the United Arab Emirates. What is perhaps news is that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has allegedly received the backing of the Presidency to extradite Adoke to Nigeria
In spite of the obstacles encountered by EFCC to extradite Adoke, the anti-graft agency is reported to have gotten the approval of the presidency to extradite the Attoney-General.
National WAVES gathered that the EFCC weeks back sent Adoke’s charges to the Interpol in Dubai but could not confirm the exact date that Adoke will be extradited to Nigeria to face trial.
Adoke’s arrest is believed to be in connection with the ongoing investigation into Malabu Oil Block (OPL 245). He has been put on the watch-list based on the bench warrant obtained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
