Frank Mba receiving the donation from official CGCC

The China General Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the Nigeria Police Force.
The ceremony was held yesterday, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
According to the CGCC, the donation of the PPEs was to curtail the spread of coronavirus within the police and also support the police in playing critical roles in the efforts at curtailing and containing the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
While receiving the PPEs, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, who was represented by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, thanked management of the China General Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria for the kind gesture.
The IGP also called on other corporate and private groups to emulate this worthy gesture, assured that the PPEs, which include 40,000 disposable surgical masks, 500 disposable medical protective suite and infra-red thermal imaging thermometer unit will be duly distributed to personnel of the Force on the frontline of operations carrying out COVID-19 prevention/enforcement duties.
In his remarks, the President, China General Chamber of Commerce, Engr. Ye Shuijin said that the China General Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria is made up of all major Chinese enterprises in Nigeria.
He also expressed his gratitude towards the Nigeria Police for protecting lives and property of Nigerians as well as protecting the Chinese citizens in Nigeria.
He noted that the Chamber acknowledges the frontline roles and importance of the Police in ensuring an enabling environment for ease of doing business in Nigeria, combating COVID-19 pandemic and generally, protecting lives and property in the country.
Also in attendance were: the Force Medical Officer, DCP Paul Laki and other Senior Police Officers, Cui Guangzhen – Director General China Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria, Senior Colonel Liu Yougxuan – Chinese Defence attached to Nigeria, amongst others.
