A Benue State High Court has granted an interim order restraining the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, from parading himself as the party’s national chairman.
The presiding judge, Justice W.I. Kpochi, gave the order on Monday while ruling on a motion exparte marked: MHC/633/2023, and filed by Conrad Terhide Utaan.
It would be recalled that the ward executive of the party suspended the Senator Ayu.
Ayu’s suspension came barely a few days after the party’s National Working Committee had dragged the State Governor, Samuel Ortom, to its disciplinary committee on alleged anti party activities.
The Ward Executive of the party at Igyorov Ward of Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State suspended the national chairman on Sunday.
Addressing journalists on behalf of Kashi Philip, the Ward Chairman, the Ward Secretary, Mr Vangeryina Dooyum, explained that Senator Ayu was suspended for alleged anti party activities.
