The Code of Conduct Bureau has commenced investigation of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over the diversion of public funds while he was the Vice-President of Nigeria through Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV).
NATIONAL WAVESÂ gathered that the Bureau also invited the Spokesperson for the Campaign Council of the President-Elect, Mr. Festus Keyamo, to adopt his petition and help to secure the presence of the whistleblower, Mr. Michael Achimugu to assist in the investigation.
Mr. Keyamo stated that the crusade for accountability in respect of this issue was not a campaign gimmick as he promised to follow it through to a logical conclusion, even after the victory of the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
