CorresThe Bishop of the African church (Solution Ground) Abeokuta The Right Reverend Jeremiah Okunola has blamed the increase in the spate of suicidal acts in Nigeria today on the lack of ability to support and compliment Government efforts towards improving the living condition of the less privileges in the society.
Bishop hit the nail on the in a chat with the press on Sunday at a special service held in Honour of Otunba Adejare Adegbenro a phillantropist who had come to donate copies of Holy Bible to the church.
The Bishop noted that Governments alone cannot make life better for the teaming Nigerians adding that the pubic had a role to play especially the wealthy that should support those with genuine challenges adding that such support and timely intervention would reduce the spate of depression and suicidal acts in Nigeria.
. In his remarks at the programme Otunba Adejare Adegbenro whose Foundation donated the Holy Bible also joined in the call to the rich and well meaning Nigerians to rise and support the down trodden in the society.
. Otunba jare Adegbenro who is the son to prominent Egba High chief and Owu prince, Chief Niyi Adegbenro also promised to donate a bus to the church to be delivered before the end of the year.
