The Special Adviser on Media to President Muhammudu Buhari, Mr. Femi Adesina has debunked the rumour making the rounds that President Buhari is about to marry a second wife – The claim which has gone viral on social media stated that the wedding would take place today, Friday, October 11.
The Nigerian social media space was agog with the story that President Muhammadu Buhari is about to marry the Minister Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq as a second wife.
The rumour mill was abuzz that the purported marriage ceremony will be taking place today, Friday, October 11, after the Jumat (Friday prayer) services. The claim which is gathering momentum under two trending hashtags on Twitter, #BUSA19 and #BUSA2019.
The purveyors of the claim also linked the purported wedding to the prolonged absence of the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, from the Presidential Villa. Aisha is currently on a trip to the United Kingdom
