News emanating from Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory reveals that the police few minute ago blocked the convoy of Senate President Bukola Saraki at Lake Chad Crescent in Maitama, Abuja.
Saraki who was said to be on his way out to honour the police invite could not proceed on his trip.
Similarly reports have it that police have mounted surveillance on the residence of Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweramadu’s .
Sraki’s convoy had taken off at about 7am but was delayed by the police siege until 7.30am.
When the convoy was cleared to go, some police vehicles trailed it up to the National Assembly complex.
It was gathered that the police team had acted on some clues that Saraki might not meet with detectives today.
But the Senate President was said to be prepared to honour the police invitation as at press time.
