Traders and customers exchanging dollars for naira

The currency traders, popularly known as Bureau De Change (BDC) operators, have resumed services in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital territory.
NATIONAL WAVES gathered that the currency traders who embarked “no sales policy” that was supposed to hold for two days — Thursday and Friday, suspended the plan on Friday and resumed transactions.
It would be recalled that the withdrawal of service comes barely 24 hours after the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) unveiled new measures to help banks prevent foreign exchange (FX) losses due to the volatility of the FX market.
