This is good news for the governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko as his candidate, Eyitayo Jegege was few minutes declared the authentic candidate of the PDP. Justice Ibrahim Saulawa panel of the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Wednesday set aside Justice Abang`s ruling which replaced Eyitayo Jegede with Jimoh Ibrahim in the forth coming Ondo governorship elections.
Justice Saulawa ruled that former attorney general of Ondo State, “Eyitayo Jegede should replace Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim as the PDP governorship candidate.
Most stakeholders are in a dilemma as many questions and permutations are begging for an answer. Stakeholders are worried stiff if INEC will postpone the election to accommodate Jegede in the ballot since the date for substitution of candidate has lapsed or will it go ahead with it and will Jimoh’s Ibrahim plans to appeal the verdict at the Supreme Court delay the election. INEC’s stand on these issues will be known before tomorrow.
