The crisis that reared its head in the ruling the All Progressives Congress seems to be over for good as the national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole inaugurated Waziri Bulama, as the new acting National Secretary of the party.
Oshiomhole administered the oath of office on Bulama at a brief ceremony held at the NEC Hall of the APC National Secretariat, in Abuja, on Monday.
The position became vacant in 2019 following the election of the former National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni, as Governor of Yobe State.
Recall the APC Deputy National Secretary, Victor Giadom, had on May 10, 2020, announced himself as acting national secretary after an Abuja High Court granted an interim injunction restraining Oshiomhole from parading himself as national chairman.
A truce was however brokered after the intervention of the President, Muhammadu Buhari and the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu.
The brief ceremony, was attended by the governors of Borno, Babagana Zulum and his Gombe State counterpart, Muhammed Yahaya, as well as other members of the party’s National Working Committee.
