For Lagos Big Boy and chairman of Persianas Group, owners of the Palms Shopping Mall (Lekki, Ilorin, Enugu and Ibadan, these are indeed troubling moments.
The billionaire businessman is said to be down with COVID-19. So bad is Amusa’s health condition that family members and friends have resorted to prayers and fasting to ensure he recovers from the deadly diseases
The polo-loving man-about-town is being treated in one of the government- approved Coronavirus health facilities in Lagos.
Those close to Amusan are more worried on account of his age; he celebrated his 60th birthday last year which is not favourably disposed to the disease. Many of the deaths from the virus are suffered by people in their 50s and above especially those who have residual health conditions.
Amusan who is also into real estate, founded the Palms shopping mall, Lekki, Lagos in 2004, a laudable concept of retailing as a leisure destination within Nigeria
He recently acquired the land adjacent the original mall and is embarking on a bold expansion plan for The Palms.
