The Akwa Ibom State Governorship Candidate for Accord Party, Engr. Emem Coffie, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 62nd Independence anniversary celebration.
In a statement, he personally signed and made available to NATIONAL WAVES, he said the 62nd anniversary celebration is one that cannot be taken lightly in view of the milestones and progress made over the period.
“I wish to congratulate Nigeria and indeed every Nigerian on the successes of building together as a nation the last 62 years.
Coffie stated that the next 10 years should be dedicated to human capital development for the benefit of all Nigerians.

“We can make the next decade mostly about human capital development of all, if we are committed to a popular will (people-oriented plan) incubated in each Local Development Area”
“We have complained enough and blame all else but ourselves for where we are the whole time”

“It’s time to act differently; intentionally, to enjoy the benefit of all participating in governance. We can do better with a community development plan.”

He however saluted past and present patriots who contributed to the development of the country.

“Let me salute all patriots, past and present whose confidence in a better Nigeria hasn’t shrunk despite the debilitating challenges of nationhood”
The Accord Party gubernatorial candidate advised the youths to be actively involved in governance.

“My confidence in the youths is unwavering as I look forward to a nation where youths will be actively involved in governance, build the strongest business brands and draw values from their potentials early in life, acknowledging the creator in all achievements.
When the youths are fully involved, we will achieve a better Nigeria, and in Akwa Ibom State make GAIN – Greater Akwa Ibom Now.
May the labours of our heroes past not be in vain”
