A grassroot politician and development advocate, Chief Duncan Afahokor has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State on the successful ground breaking for the N78billion Effurun/Warri flyovers and road expansion projects.

In a statement on Wednesday, in Asaba, Afahokor, a renowned lawyer and crisis manager, said Gov. Oborevwori has matched words with action noting that the successful kick-off of the audacious projects was a fulfilment of his electioneering campaign promises to give the twin cities of Effurun and Warri a facelift.

Afahokor further stated that Gov. Oborevwori was renowned for his fidelity in keeping to promises made to the people, adding that the commencement of the projects marks a turning point in the history of the metropolis.

He stressed that the coming of construction giants, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc to execute projects for the first time in the history of the state was a turning point in the MORE Agenda of the Oborevwori administration.

“On Monday Deltans and Nigerians watched with delight the official ground-breaking for the construction of three flyovers, cloverleaf, pedestrian bridges and road expansion projects in Effurun and Warri metropolis.

“The projects no doubt were well thought out as they would help to change the cities landscape and end perennial traffic gridlock in the metropolis.

“As an ardent follower of the Governor, I am not surprised he chose Julius Berger Nigeria Plc to deliver the all-important projects to Deltans for the first time since the state was created.

“As a grassroot politician and leader of high repute, Governor Oborevwori has continued to prove Deltans right by choosing him to lead the state at this auspicious time,” he stated.

The Umeh-born community leader and Isoko ambassador urged Deltans and other stakeholders to continue supporting the Oborevwori administration as his MORE Agenda would advance the state further.
