It is indeed end of the road for Raymond Igbalode, popularly known as Hushpuppi as the Dubai Police have finally bowed to pressure and handed him to the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation.

According to the statement, FBI Director, Christopher Wray, “praised the exceptional efforts exerted by the United Arab Emirate, represented by the Dubai Police General HQ, in combating transnational organised cybercrime including the recent arrest of Raymond Igbalode Abbas, known as “Hushpuppi” and Olalekan Jacob Ponle aka “Woodberry””.
It will be recalled that the Instagram celebrity had pitted Nigerian detectives against their counterparts from the United States on who should take possession and prosecute the alleged fraudster following his arrest and detention by Emirati authorities.
“Immediately we got confirmation that he had been arrested in Dubai, we all started fighting to get him. “He is a subject of multiple and conflicting interests between Nigeria and the United States.” Said a Nigerian detective who craved for anonymity
Detectives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) also embarked on moves to get him extradited to the US, this according to them was because Hushppupi allegedly scammed some Americans.
