Former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi is dead. He died as a result of complication from coronavirus.
Ajumobi, who was also a senator died on Thursday at a private hospital in Lagos after spending weeks in intensive care for coronavirus complications.
Akin Alabi, a federal lawmaker and political associate of the former governor confirmed the demise of Senator Ajimobi.. He was 70.
His death came a week after he was rumoured to have died at the same private hospital. That rumour turned to be false.
