Ribadu’s two sons, Abubakar & Mahmud wed in grand style

It was glitz, glamour and a gathering of who is who in Nigeria when Nuhu Ribadu, the founding chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) married off his two sons at a well-attended ceremony in Abuja over the weekend.

Ribadu’s first son, Abubakar Sadiq, tied the nuptial knot with Hafsat Jijiwa at Fufure in Adamawa state on Friday while it was the turn of his second son. Mahmud, who was joined in matrimony with his sweetheart, Aminatu Ismaila, on Saturday at Annur Mosque in Wuse II, Abuja.

So many A–class dignitaries attended the event, notable among them are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former vice president Atiku Abubakar, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, led a delegation from the president’s office which included the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP), Lawal Kazaure; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Garba Shehu; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Domestic Affairs, Sarki Abba, and a personal assistant of the president, Sabiu  Abdullahi.

Others on the delegation were the State House Permanent Secretary, Jalal Arabi; Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Abubakar and Bashir Ahmad, president Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media.

Governors and former governors were not left out at the event, Governors Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Aminu Masari (Katsina) and Abubakar Bello (Niger) were in attendance.

Ex governors of Sokoto (Aliyu Wamakko), Zamfara (Mahmud Shinkafi), Ogun (Ibikunle Amosun), Bauchi (Mohammed Abubakar) and Adamawa (Mohammed Jibrilla) also attended the event.

The business sector was represented by business moguls Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, and Dahiru Mangal.

Also at the event were the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar, a former IGP, Suleiman Abba, acting chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu and his predecessor, Ibrahim Lamorde.
